The Diocesan Marriage Tribunal

The Diocesan Marriage Tribunal shares in the prophetic and reconciling ministry of Jesus and the Church, and strives to: 

• Uphold the Gospel teaching on the sanctity and dignity of marriage  

• Safeguard the rights of individuals and the common good  

• Seek truth and justice in all judicial matters.

• The Tribunal does this primarily by investigating and judging in accord with the procedural law and jurisprudence of the Church the cases which come properly to them, notably, cases of nullity or dissolution of marriage.  

Above all, the Tribunal staff and officials pledge to work with compassion, charity and concern for the salvation of souls -- the supreme law of the Church.
